The True Power of Touch

Writer: Ma'ayan GreenbaumMa'ayan Greenbaum

Let’s talk about the language of touch.

Touch can express the full and nuanced range of our feelings.

Sometimes we get so stuck in our heads that we forget we have other ways of communicating or being together.

Especially in times when we’re feeling charged or trying to manage big feelings (big scary feelings that can overwhelm us) - touch can bypass anxiety or anger and helps us work through things.

🤝As human beings we intuitively know that touch communicates our truth. 🤝

It doesn’t lie.

A quote that I really love by Asaf Rolef Ben-Shahar, a relational body psychotherapist, says “I trust my fingers. My fingers are much better ears and eyes than what I hear and see.”

Let me know in a comment how the language of touch resonates with you!
